​The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced this week that it is investigating eleven illnesses and four hospitalizations in connection with two types of frozen bean sprouts that occurred in 10 states.

An outbreak of Salmonella Anatum infections led the Chetak LLC Group to voluntarily recall 16 ounce packages of Frozen ‘Deep Sprouted Mat(Moth) and Deep Sprouted Moong, according to a July 17 FDA advisory...
