The number of people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 decreased again today, as it has every day since Jan 12, 2021. There are now fewer people hospitalized with COVID-19 than at any time since Nov 4, 2020, and fewer than during either the spring or summer surges.

CA reported 806 deaths which were not previously reported, most of which are from between Dec 3, 2020 and Feb 3, 2021. These additional deaths are included in the total number on http://covidtracking.com and in the API, but not in the daily update above.
