JHU at this minute: 6,782,083 cases,199,411 deaths which is about 51k new cases in the last approximately 24 hours. 729 new deaths. Weekends are wonky for data. It seems to balance out by every Wednesday.

It looks like most states are out of the "red zone" but several have seen increasing rates in the last week: Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, Montana, Wyoming per NPR chart based on JHU data.

As predicted governments are manipulating data for a more positive spin:
"On Sept. 2, Massachusetts changed its methodology for counting probable cases, which lowered its overall case and death numbers."

My overall take is that everyone needs to assume everyone else that they are in contact with is infected. As we have been saying since day one - do not depend on any government to protect you. They are slow to act and - now as the effects of the pandemic drag on the $$$ situations will incentivize governments to down play the numbers. A few state governments might over play the situation to receive more federal $$$. But mostly, I think state governments want to down play the situation to get the schools up and tourism/restaurants etc. back operating.

I know that politics has really taken over the covid debate. All I can say is please consider all sides. We try to cover all sides. Unlike main-street-media and social media monopolies like twitter, facebook, youtube, we do not pre-determine a result. A search for the truth requires honest debate.
