Since beginning of the influenza season at the beginning of October at least 17 people have died in Germany as a result of Influenza. Just 15,000 influenza cases were announced all together to the Robert cooking institute (RKI) in Berlin as the institute informed on Thursday. In a little less than 50 percent of the cases it concerned pork influenza.

The average age of the patients died in influenza lay with 55 years. 17 deaths were announced to the RKI. It is not to be excluded that the number higher lies. With more than half of the deaths the pork influenza-virus was proved. From just 15,000 Influenza patients about 2,000 came to the hospital as one further said. In the first February week (from the 2nd to the 8th February) 2.958 influenza cases were announced up to now to the RKI, of it about 360 had to be treated in the hospital. In comparison to previous week the total number of the new illnesses went back, indeed, all data possibly are not yet
