Curious sightings in Cascais? night sky
by Carrie-Marie Bratley, in Lisbon ? 11-07-2013 10:16:00 ? 0 Comments

A number of eyewitness accounts of unusual light phenomena in the night sky in and around Lisbon?s Cascais area have been reported over the past few weeks, triggering speculation as to what they could be.

Shannon Parris, who has lived in Cascais for three years, told The Portugal News the activity was ?one of the most beautiful things? she has ever seen.
?I was sitting on the veranda with my husband when we saw what was like a swarm of twinkling lights moving through the sky.

A friend of Mrs. Parris also witnessed the phenomenon.
?She also thought it was really beautiful. It?s the first time I?ve seen anything like it in my life?, Mrs. Parris commented.
That same night a resident in Quinta da Marina, Cascais, witnessed an almost identical occurrence.
