Two longtime and very senior staff, Dan Jernigan (Director of the National Center for Emerging & Zoonotic Diseases—think COVID and Ebola) and Deb Houry ( CDC Chief Medical Officer) just quit in protest.
Update: also resigned are Demetre Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and Jennifer Layden, director of the Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology.

leaving. We have always rec that people maintain a
relationship with a medical practitioner. Local public health depts are good too.
