كشفت مخاطبات داخلية خاصة بإحدى شركات تكنولوجيا المعلومات العالمية بين مقارها فى مصر وإيطاليا عن تسبب هزة أرضية قريبة من السواحل الإيطالية فى قطع ٦ كابلات بحرية قرب جزيرة صقلية، وهو ما تسبب فى انقطاع النت.
