I also find interesting the connection made --however briefly--to cyclical climatological phenomena.

I did not see a definition of "migration." Is it the same as "geophysical migration"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geophysical_migration

I'm guessing, (since all this is over my head), that the "geophysical migration" described in the Wikipedia article that you found, LaMenchos, is different than the earthquake migration in the O. A. Molchanov article.

The Wiki article seems to be talking about complex methodology used to take data from seismic surveys and convert that into maps or graphs.

I could be way off, but I thought the migration in the O. A. Molchanov article was referring to positional changes of earthquake epicenters over time in a certain region, and whatever is driving that movement.

I noticed he has an email address in the article if you feel like asking him about this.
