Ukraine's flu death toll climbs to 54

KIEV, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The Flu in Ukraine killed six people last week, bringing the total death toll during the ongoing epidemic season to 54, the country's Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
From March 18-24, some 150,304 people, including more than 100,000 children, were infected with flu in Ukraine, the ministry said.
Since the start of the current influenza season on Oct. 1, 2018, the disease has affected about 11.5 percent of Ukraine's 42.4-million-strong population.
In January and February 2016, a four-week influenza epidemic in the country claimed the lives of 329 people.
