According to the Center for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of the State Institution "Ukrainian Center for Disease Control and monitoring of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," from 10 to 16 March 2014 in all regions of Ukraine, the incidence of influenza and SARS epidemic does not exceed thresholds and stored in ranging from 1.5% to 77.5% of Dnipropetrovsk in Ivano-Frankivsk.

During the reporting week with flu and SARS ill 227,002 persons, of which 143,795 (63.4%) were children under 17 years. The incidence of influenza and SARS (total) population of Ukraine is 49.9 per 10 thousand population.

The highest incidence of influenza and ARI registered in Kiev - 78.4, the lowest - in Kharkiv region - 18.3 per 10 thousand population.

During the reporting week of 9904 persons were hospitalized, of which 7192 (72.6%) were children under 17 years. Compared to last week, the growth rate of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in adults and children under 17 decreased by 18.6% and 21.3%.

Week in Ukraine among patients with influenza were registered four laboratory-confirmed deaths: two in the Odessa area and one in Zaporozhye and Cherkasy regions.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season vaccinated against influenza 246,743 persons. During the reporting week 91 were vaccinated against influenza person in 52.3% less than last week. Proportion of child population among persons vaccinated against influenza is 16.0%.

According to the Center for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of the State Institution "Ukrainian Center for Disease Control and monitoring of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," from 17 to 23 March 2014 exceeded the epidemic threshold indicated in the Dnipropetrovsk region at 1.1%. In other regions of Ukraine the incidence of influenza and SARS epidemic does not exceed thresholds and range from -3.5% to -77.0% to Zaporozhye Ivano-Frankivsk.
During the reporting week with flu and SARS ill 235,611 people, of which 148,809 (63.2%) were children under 17 years. The incidence of influenza and SARS (total) population of Ukraine is 51.8 per 10 thousand population.

The highest incidence of influenza and ARI registered in Kiev - 80.3, the lowest - in Kharkiv region - 19.8 per 10 thousand population.

During the reporting week were taken 9640 people, including 6916 (71.7%) were children under 17 years. Compared to last week, the growth rate of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in adults and children under 17 increased respectively by 4.3% and 3.5%.

According to the Center for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of the State Institution "Ukrainian Center for Disease Control and monitoring of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," from 24 to 30 March 2014 the incidence of influenza and SARS epidemic does not exceed thresholds and range from - 9.4% in Lugansk to -79.2% in Ivano-Frankivsk.

During the reporting week with flu and SARS ill 188,307 people, of which 117 741 (62.5%) were children under 17 years. The incidence of influenza and SARS (total) population of Ukraine is 41.4 per 10 thousand population.

The highest incidence of influenza and ARI registered in Kiev - 64.3, the lowest - in Kharkiv region - 17.9 per 10 thousand population.

During the reporting week the number of hospitalized persons decreased by 12.6%, while the specialized medical care received 2277 adults and 6147 children under 17 years. Compared to last week, the growth rate of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in adults and children under 17 decreased by 18.7% and 20.9%.

Week in Ukraine among patients with influenza recorded two laboratory-confirmed deaths: one in Vinnytsia and Rivne.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season vaccinated against influenza 246,893 persons. During the reporting week vaccinated against the flu 62 people, which is 29.6% less than last week. Proportion of child population among persons vaccinated against influenza, is 16.0%.

According to the Center for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of the State Institution "Ukrainian Center for Disease Control and monitoring of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", from 31 March to 6 April 2014 the incidence of influenza and SARS epidemic does not exceed thresholds and range from -3.7% in Cherkasy to -81.0% in Ivano-Frankivsk.

During the reporting week with flu and SARS ill 159,384 persons, of which 100,733 (62.0%) were children under 17 years. The incidence of influenza and SARS (total) population of Ukraine is 36.6 per 10 thousand population. It should be noted that starting this week, in the analysis of the incidence of respiratory viral infections in Ukraine in Crimea data are not included.

The highest incidence of influenza and ARI registered in Kiev - 57.3, the lowest - in Kharkiv region - 17.0 per 10 thousand population.

The highest incidence of influenza and SARS are registered in Kyiv - 53.8, the lowest - in Kharkiv region - 17.1 per 10 thousand population.

During the reporting week the number of hospitalized persons decreased by 7.5%. Specialized medical care received 1579 adults and 4615 children under 17 years.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season 2013 - 2014 biennium on the territory of Ukraine among patients with influenza recorded 16 laboratory-confirmed deaths. Half of them are registered among the age group 30 - 50 years. It should be noted that all of the dead person did not get flu shots this epidsezoni.
