Public health officers are investigating cases of illness in Teesdale caused by the E coli bacteria.

?Durham County Council, in liaison with the Health Protection Agency, are investigating a small number of E coli O157 cases in the Barnard Castle area,? said Michael Yeadon, health protection manager with the authority.
