UK - no PCR tests available in England - many chemists out of LFT and delays with online orders of LFT's when they are available

Case numbers will undoubtedly be affected by the lack of tests! Contact tracing notifying people of probable contacts - 8 days after contact! It is a shambles!

Covid-19: PCR tests cancelled for millions to ease lab pressure


People who are positive for coronavirus on a lateral flow test will no longer be able to check the result with a PCR test under plans to create the capacity for laboratories to deal with soaring cases.

Most people who test positive on a lateral flow device would instead be told to isolate for at least seven days without confirmation. The proposal is supported by scientists because rising infection rates reduce the risk of false positives.

I understand that the "official numbers" are taken from the PCR tests. This means - the numbers will be inaccurate (ironic understatement).
