Sickness bug at Highbridge School

The highly contagious Hand, Foot and Mouth viral illness has broken out at a Highbridge School, we can confirm.

Burnham-On-Sea.com learns that a pupil at St John's School in Highbridge had the bug and has now returned to school having fully recovered.

A newsletter which was sent to all parents this week includes a warning and advice about the bug, as pictured below.

The disease begins with a fever, poor appetite, and after two days painful sores develop in the mouth, followed by a rash.
