A TEENAGER has died after contracting a rare strain of meningitis.

Joanna Yates was 16 when she passed away on Thursday from pneumococcal meningitis.

Though extremely rare, the disease can affect people of any age.

Those at greatest risk are babies and young kids and teenagers, as well as the elderly...
