Kiruhuura Farmers Lose 5,608 Cattle To East Coast Fever

Cattle keepers in the south western district of Kiruhuura have petitioned parliament to intervene to find a lasting solution to the East Coast Fever epidemic which has hit their area.
The farmers handed over their petition to the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah yesterday at parliament.
The lead petition, Lamech Mwiine told the speaker that in six months the farmers have lost 5608 cattle to the disease which has become resistant to the drugs available to them in the district.
