Udupi: 40 chikungunya cases in Udupi

Udupi: Forty Chikungunya cases have been confirmed in Udupi district, informed Udupi DHO M R Naik.
He said that as many as 357 suspected Chikungunya cases have been reported in the district. The health department is involved in conducting house to house survey and creating an awareness among the masses on the need to take preventive measures to check the outbreak of chikungunya.
Apart from this, the department is also involved in cleaning the stagnant water and destroying the mosquito breeding areas. Fogging has also been undertaken in the district.
