FAA confirms El Paso employee diagnosed with tuberculosis

Updated: Thursday, January 16 2014, 09:06 PM MST EL PASO, Texas -- The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed a technician at the agency's El Paso office, which includes the air traffic control tower and terminal radar approach control, tested positive for tuberculosis.

The FAA told KFOX14 in a statement the case was confirmed Jan. 9, and employees were briefed the same day. The FAA also said the employee with TB is currently under medical care and will not return to work without permission.

About 50 employees could be affected...
