FSA on Monday confirmed Rogalands other cases of swine influenza among pigs - this time in Sandnes. In all, 10 herds have been tested. So far, two of three tests positive.

A large piglet producer with dozens of cops in Sandnes was tested last week.
Both the owner and the pigs had flu symptoms, and Monday came confirmation that the crew has been infected with swine flu.
According to regional director Hallgeir Herikstad at the FSA, there is no connection between this flu case and the crew of the Time that last week was Rogalands first detected with swine flu.
- This is a completely separate case. A piglet producer in Sandnes producing piglets and sell to others, tells Herikstad.
- So when can probably all be contagion spread to other pigsty?
- We are mapping this now, and the crew have been added since bands we took the tests last week.
Fear more sick pigs
The FSA has introduced strict measures against contagion both herds where the infection is found, and where there is suspicion of infection. (see fact in the margin on the right) is among other things, not allowed to take pigs out of or in animal husbandry without the application to the FSA.
After J?ren cops call on the brick in Time had proven swine flu last week, the FSA tested several crews with connections to J?ren pig ring.
- We have received a response and it was negative. Then we will cross my fingers to hope the rest also is negative, "said Hallgeir Herikstad.
But the regional director admits that he will not be surprised if several rogaland crews the next day get proven influenza.
- We see a pattern here. Most likely, the pigs infected by sick people, and it is clear that it rubs easily. So in addition to isolating sick livestock, so we try to communicate that the farmers must stay away from the pig house if they are in doubt, says Herikstad.
More tests should be ready soon
So far, the FSA sampled in 10 pig herds in Southern Rogaland.
- We have found the answer to three. A negative and two positive. The seven others are waiting, we answer the next day, said Herikstad.

The four settlements are scattered throughout J?ren, and there is apparently no connection, confirm Herikstad.

- In Europe, one had the classical swine flu last long, and there are reports of loss of production due to illness.
Norway and Iceland
