Two new deaths bring to 23 the victims of influenza A in Spain
The Health Ministry has reported that last week there were two new deaths from influenza in Spain. Health has stated that from now on will not be informed about sex and the community in which they resided or if they had previous pathologies.

This same source has indicated to 20minutos.es that "as agreed in the Territorial Council" is not going to give particulars of the deceased: sex or the community in which they resided or if they had previous pathologies.
This average, which was above 41.17%, equivalent to 23,956 infected, of whom 96% (22,948) are for the influenza virus A.
Canary Islands, Basque Country and La Rioja recorded an incidence rate of influenza in more than twice the national average, according to the latest weekly newsletter monitoring system disease (SVGE), published by the Instituto Carlos III (dependent on Ministry of Health).
Islands at the head
For communities, Canary appears at the top with 133.2 infected per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the Basque Country and La Rioja, both with 128.78, while in Asturias 103.62 have been detected, according to data collected by the sentinel physician networks in the past week, between 23 and 29 August.
They are also above average for Catalonia (85.82) and Andalusia (54.14).
Already below appear Cantabria (52.61), Aragon (50.7), Extremadura (49.42), Valencian (40.93), Baleares (37.12), Madrid (32.25), Navarra ( 21.15), Castilla-La Mancha (15.6) and Castilla y Leon (5.27).
The report attributes a rate "0" to Galicia and Murcia and specific networks without guards, but do participate in SVGE virological surveillance through laboratories performing Vigo Orense and Murcia, while data are lacking in Ceuta and Melilla.
Activity "growing"
In most sentinel networks would still give a stable development in the incidence rate of influenza, except in Andalusia, Asturias, Catalonia, Madrid and Basque Country, where viral activity is "growing".
According to the sentinel network data, the level of the spread of disease is half in Asturias, Canarias, Catalonia, Extremadura, Basque Country and La Rioja, Galicia also agree with the laboratories mentioned and low in others.
Of the cases of influenza in general information is available, 46% are women and 54% are men, while the age groups most affected are between 15 and 44 years (56%) and 5 and 14 years (22%).
In influenza A, the most common symptom (99 per cent of cases) is fever, followed by malaise (93%), cough (86%), myalgia and headache (68%), sore throat (67 %) and breathing difficulties (4%).
