Travel Business or Personal

If you are traveling for business, ensure the company has purchased health insurance that will cover hospital & medical care. Ask if extrication cost will be company paid if warranted in the event of quarantines, delays, stranding. Some health insurance companies in the US will cover this. Travel insurance for personal trips can also offer health coverage & is worth it. Bills can be 10s of thousands dollars. Know what the company policies are before you choose to go. Why is this important? Some countries will not allow discharge from a hospital or facility until medical bills are paid. Before you go, have consulate contact phone numbers & addresses to assist you if needed. Carry a emergency contact card with medical information & current prescriptions details. Put “ICE” in case of emergency contacts in your cell so fire & rescue know who to contact. They can access these contacts without unlocking your phone.
