Does he mean "Outbreak" with Dustin Hoffman? Surely that's a bit of a strong image to conjure up (as his speech was aired live on the BBC News on UK television at 8pm tonight) compared to his normal message.

Or is there another movie I haven't heard of?

Looks like he has mentioned "a movie" a couple of times recently. I think you are right, Helderflower, about which movie.

Then there is this synchronicity:

But we know that the fictional virus in the movie was not equivalent to the real thing.
