A student at Haynes Middle School has died and a preliminary test suggests EV-D68 may be to blame, according to Metro Nashville Public Schools. MILLINGTON, TN (WMC) -

Millington Municipal Schools sent a letter home to parents alerting them that a child was diagnosed and is being treated for Enterovirus D-68.

According to the letter sent to WMC Action News 5, the child is enrolled at EA Harrold Elementary School. The school district would not confirm that the health issue is Enterovirus, but the health department says it's a new case...

UPDATE: A Haynes Middle School student which died did not test positive for Enterovirus D68 according to the health department. While the virus has been ruled out, the department did not have an official cause of death...
