Three ways to hypnotize a chicken

Re: Three ways to hypnotize a chicken

Wikipedia

"In zoological anatomy, a cloaca is the posterior opening that serves as the only such opening for the intestinal, urinary, and (usually) genital tracts of certain animal species. The word comes from Latin, and means "sewer". All birds, reptiles, and amphibians possess this orifice, from which they excrete both urine and feces (unlike mammals, who possess two separate orifices for evacuation). Marsupials and Monotremes also possess one (in marsupials and a few birds, the genital tract is separate). In contrast, each individual among most species of placental mammals and bony fishes has, in lieu of a cloaca, a specialized opening for at least one of these tracts.

In birds the cloaca is also referred to as the vent, and among Falconers the word vent is also a verb meaning "to defecate.""

Theresa, I am glad to see 'light humour' coming from your posts....you have been so busy keeping us all up to date, without a vacation or a holiday, that even this little thread makes me feel all warm and fuzzy for you.

(or have you gone 'funny'?)

Oh, I'm almost always ready for a laugh! I'm just worried about scaring people off with my slightly twisted sense of humor. ;)

Speaking of vacation -- I AM going to take another one actually! I'll be away from this Sat 'til Tues, the 19th. I will have some internet access at a library where I'm going, but not at home unfortunately -- so my news searches will be limited (I'll probably stick to just Egypt since Indonesia and elsewhere is so well-covered by others!). Am looking forward to another little break. :)
