The most recent World Health Organization update on cumulative number of human cases of A(H5N1) avian influenza virus infections, dated October 10 2011, shows for Indonesia 8 cases with 6 deaths so far.

Reading the article it seems to me it is not Endang the minister who talks about 9 cases: it is the author.

This is the only newssourcea carrying this number of 9.
