Pharmacies blame wholesalers for the shortage of Tamiflu in the country

The National Association of Pharmacies of Mexico (Anafarmex) admitted that in 24 thousand pharmacies that exist in Mexico there registers a "worrying" shortage of oseltamivir, known as Tamiflu — medicine that the influenza treats, especially the A/H1N1-, motive for which the dispensers exhorted the wholesalers to whom they improve his distribution before the growth of contagions.
Antonio Pascual, president of the Anafarmex, told to MILLENIUM that the shortage in centers of selling, big and boys, initiated from January and now the Tamiflu counts no establishment in his shelf with, although the company manufacturer (Roche) stopped in clear that it has produced sufficient medicine.

“ The problem focaliza in the two biggest distributors of the country (House Nadro and House Saba) that without any explanation have been slow during all this month in supplying to the pharmacies. We have requested the intervention of the Secretary of Health because it is a question of a curative medicine, it is the only alternative to fight the influenza A/H1N1 ”, he said Paschal.
The Swiss company Roche duplicated his production of the antiviral Tamiflu or oseltamivir, on having spent from 200 to 400 million treatments, to constitute a strategic reservation that it allows Mexico and different nations to treat the persons infected in winter epoch.
