Pulmonary aspergillosis is now recognized as a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).1COVID-19-associated pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA) appeared more prevalent in the UK’s second wave than the first.2 Plausible explanations include the greater use of immune-modulating drugs, such as dexamethasone,3 anti-IL-therapy4 and improved survival leading to protracted ICU stays.
