The infections by influenza A/H1N1 down this week over the previous
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Dec 3 (EFE) .- The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government said today through a statement that the incidence rate of ILI in week 47 (from 22 to 28 November) was 226.91 cases per 100,000 population, representing a decrease from the previous week (where the rate was 372).
After reaching a rate of 372 per 100,000 in week 46/2009 and 392 per 100,000 in week 45/2009, at week 47 was observed a marked decrease in incidence rate (226.91 / 100,000).
The 5-14 age group remains the most affected, while also presenting a more pronounced reduction of the fee.
The percentage of influenza virus isolates in the samples collected was 75%, and 100% of them the new virus.EFE
