The incidence of influenza A falls in Austria for the second straight week. The latest update data of H1N1 virus spreading, for the week between 22 and 28 November, reflects the decline of new infections by 25% over the previous week. However, the rate of incidence is at 287 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which means that in those seven days could have been 2869 cases of influenza.

The decrease in the incidence of influenza is also reflected in a drop of 11% of sick leave days. And although the group most affected by the pandemic continues to be that of children over one year and under 15, truancy decreased only in a week, 15%.

During that week there were two confirmed deaths last Thursday of counseling. The two patients lived in Gij?n and had added complications to the viral process.

According to estimates by the Ministry of Health, about 31,900 have contracted the disease from Asturias to date. The spread of the disease analyzed in the week, sources said yesterday counseling, had had no impact on the welfare activity.
