The H1N1 virus is no longer dominant

These data show a progressive decrease in the intensity of influenza and in particular of the virus causing the pandemic because a few months ago - when it became the highest peaks of cases, up to 372 per 100,000 inhabitants - the H1N1 caused between 90 and 99 per cent of all cases recorded in Spain.
According viral detections performed on sentinel networks and external investigations, together with the pandemic virus has been other subtypes of influenza A more common as AH1, AH3 and AH3N2, and other influenza virus B and C, the latter sentinel samples from Catalonia.
Similarly, the rate of infection is now much lower than the baseline established threshold, with only 18.96 cases per 100,000 population and a sporadic movement of the virus, this time in Asturias.
The most affected community in the last week has been Catalonia, with 55.37 infections per 100,000 population, followed by the Asturian Principality (34.13), Andalusia (27.43), Canary Islands (24.85), Castilla-La Mancha ( 24.35) and Extremadura (20.81).
