Duck die-off in Sriracha not bird flu

Livestock officials are investigating the mysterious death of all of a Sriracha farmer?s 24 ducks.

Poj Sichanuklit of the Chon?buri Livestock Department, his Sriracha office counterpart Wanchana Thongyen and Lertchai Jinpitaksakul, director of the Eastern Veterinary Research and Development Center, visited the Nongkham Sub-district home of Jamlong Sasrong April 26.

After an initial inspection, the animal experts said they did not believe the duck deaths were caused by bird flu, but, instead, by food poisoning.
