Tarrant County Resident Being Assessed for Ebola and Other Diseases

May 1, 2015 (Tarrant County, TX) – A Tarrant County resident, who recently returned from Liberia and was being monitored by Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) for Ebola, has sought medical attention for one symptom that matches the disease.

The last known case of Ebola in Liberia was in late March.

Out of an abundance of caution, the patient is being assessed at a North Texas hospital for care and will be tested for Ebola and other diseases.
TCPH expects to have test results back later this evening.

No other patient health information, or the hospital location, will be released at this time to protect the identity of the patient.
