Texas has a new website with summary tables of hospitalizations and deaths, as well as surveillance report links. The following is from the pediatric death table. It shows 30 total pediatric H1N1 deaths. However, there are 7 deaths shown in September and October under "other flu". I looked through their surveillance data and did not see other flu strains reported. I plan to follow up with the epidemiologist who puts the reports together, but I suspect these seven deaths were Type A and could not be subtyped. That would bring the total pediatric death toll in Texas to 37.
