Local scientist shares research in Ebola virus cure

SAN ANTONIO -- Scientists are working on developing various vaccines to protect people from Ebola but only six facilities nationwide are equipped to handle the virus.

The Texas Biomedical Research Institute in San Antonio on Loop 410 and West Military is one of those labs in North America.

Eyewitness News spoke with a scientist at the institute, Dr. Robert Davey, who said he and his team are on the verge of finding a cure to Ebola. He said tests on mice have shown great results.
