Another death related to the West Nile Virus has been confirmed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

DSHS officials said the death was confirmed as West Nile Virus related on Wednesday and the victim was from Hopkins County...

Dallas County Confirms Eighteenth West Nile Death

Dallas County Health and Human Services confirmed the eighteenth death of a patient after having contracted the West Nile virus.

The latest victim is reportedly a resident of Addison.

With that victim, the total number of fatalities due to the virus reached 37 in North Texas.

Additionally, Tarrant County Public Health reported the ninth death after a patient contracted the virus in their area on Monday...

An elderly Arlington man with underlying health conditions became the 10th person to die of the West Nile virus in Tarrant County.

Tarrant County Public Health said the man was in his 70s, but declined to provide any more details on his death...

Tarrant County Reports 11th West Nile Virus Death

The Tarrant County health department said Tuesday that a North Richland Hills woman with West Nile virus has died.

The victim was a woman in her 30s with underlying medical conditions, Tarrant County Public Health said. Her case of the neuroinvasive form of West Nile virus was first reported two months ago.

In North Texas, a total of 39 people have died after contracting the disease.

More than 1,000 human cases of the disease have been reported in the North Texas area this year...

Two more die of West Nile in Travis County

In the nation?s worst year for West Nile virus, two more people in Travis County have died of the disease, bringing the county?s total to five this season, the Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department announced Tuesday.
