No new influenza-associated pediatric deaths; total 1
ILI 5.37%; higher in East Tennessee Region: 13.2% and Jackson-Madison: 8.9%

To date, 116 specimens from Week 49 have been tested; 41 (35.3%) were positive for influenza viruses: 1 was A(H1N1), 37 were A(H3N2) and 3 were type B. Thirty (30) specimens also were positive for other respiratory viruses.
