Jose Luna / El Sol de Mexico in Mexico City. - Health officials ordered to temporarily suspend the killing of cattle on the trails of Puebla and San Martin Texmelucan, after finding blood in the urine of some animals and residues of clenbuterol, a substance used illegally for feedlot that is toxic to humans. As part of ongoing actions against the illicit use of clenbuterol, the Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks (COFEPRIS) under the Ministry of Health (SSa) noted that both signs shall not be reopened to ensure that the cattle are from herds certified free of clenbuterol Department of Agriculture (SAGARPA).
