Taj Boston Hotel employee tests postive for H1N1 flu
BOSTON – A report has confirmed that an employee at the Taj Boston Hotel has tested positively for the H1N1 flu virus.
The virus, common known as swine flu, was detected after a worker left the hotel early on Monday, complaining of flu-like symptoms. Several days later test results confirmed that the employee had tested positive for the virus.
No other employees or guests have reported symptoms. Taj guests have been notified and management released a statement stating that the hotel will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Massachusetts public health officials have reported 284 cases thus far, resulting in the hospitalization of 20 persons and the closings of 11 schools.
