[FONT=&#24494]Yunlin County, animal and plant epidemic prevention (Yunlin Epidemic Prevention), on January 1 this year, the county received a chicken farm in Dounan Township industry informed that the chicken only abnormal death situation, Then in the day to visit the scene, and the implementation of inspection inspection, the field for non-open poultry farms, raising about 23,000 71-day-old red feather chicken. The H5N8 subtype of highly pathogenic avian influenza was detected in the chickens, and the epidemic prevention work was carried out according to standard operating procedures immediately after the report was received. Risk of disease transmission. Due to the initiative to inform the epidemic, and in accordance with the relevant provisions of feeding, therefore, by culling of poultry, in accordance with the provisions available compensation.
According to regulations, the industry can be based on the results of the evaluation, access to appropriate compensation, reduce losses, to prevent the loss of human health, prevention and control of disease prevention and control, . The Board, in particular, to the poultry industry appeal, if the site of poultry suspected of bird flu symptoms, or egg-laying rate, food intake, drinking water decreased or abnormal death, etc., should take the initiative to notify the local animal epidemic prevention units instantly, In order to maintain the overall industrial safety, not in accordance with the provisions of the epidemic, in addition to NT $ 50,000 to 100 million fine, the culling of poultry are not compensated, please do not feel luck.
In the near future, Korea has poured nearly 30 million poultry from bird-to-human H5N6 avian flu, according to the defense bureau. Japan is the world's largest poultry producer. And therefore culling of about 100 million. Therefore, China's central and local animal epidemic prevention units have been working with one heart and one mind to actively implement the avian influenza epidemic prevention measures, including sampling in the wetlands, tally yards and poultry farms throughout the Taiwan region, and carry out the surveillance of avian influenza virus. Case culling control, strengthen the monitoring of the surrounding poultry farms, while strengthening the transport vehicles and loading cage cleaning and disinfection, and in the slaughterhouse and the chemical field to strengthen checks to check. In the winter of migratory birds in April after another from the stage, are avian influenza invasion and dissemination of high-risk period, poultry industry must not be taken lightly. Defense Inspection Bureau said that the birds do more than one point of epidemic prevention measures, you can reduce the risk of a point, the more the implementation of preventive measures, the lower the risk. Although part of the poultry farms are non-open house, but if the access control and health management is not implemented, there may still be an outbreak. Therefore, in addition to strengthening the avian bird protection facilities, to avoid poultry and the (wild) bird contact, access control should be implemented, and out of the poultry farm, all staff have to change clothes and shoes, and all kinds of vehicles, cage cage, In and out, but also subject to thorough disinfection. Only soft and hard biosecurity measures can be carried out in parallel, and the mixed feeding of poultry from the old, middle and green ages can be avoided to reduce the risk of disease invasion and spread.

[TD]Abnormal mortality was observed in one poultry farm in Yunlin County. Samples were sent to the National Laboratory, Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI) for analysis. Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N8 subtype was confirmed by AHRI. The farm has been put under movement restriction. All animals on the infected farm have been culled. Thorough cleaning and disinfection have been conducted after stamping out operation. Surrounding poultry farms within 3 km radius of the infected farm are under intensified surveillance for three months. Suspicious signs were observed in poultry carcasses during postmortem inspection in three abattoirs in New Taipei City, Taipei City, and Kaohsiung City. Samples were sent to AHRI for analysis. Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N8 was confirmed by the AHRI. H5N2 HPAI virus was also detected in samples taken from the abattoir in New Taipei City. The carcasses were destroyed and thorough cleaning and disinfection have been conducted in the abattoirs. After tracing back to the farm of origin, samples have been sent to the AHRI for diagnosis.
