An epidemic is underway in a sector of the Medicine Department of Morges Hospital (EHC) with several cases detected since January 2024.
The HPCi Vaud cantonal unit recommends screening upon admission to hospitalization:
Screening is done by rectal smear with visible fecal matter (colored smear).
For patients who have had contact with a patient colonized by VRE, upon transfer to another establishment, establish MACs and continue current screenings or schedule screening on D0, D7 and D14.

- Any patient who has been hospitalized in the EHC Department of Medicine since January 2024.
