Current Situation in Switzerland

Influenza A (H1N1) was confirmed for the first time in Switzerland on 29.04.2009. Dated 29.06.2009, 54 cases were confirmed. 49 cases of travelers returning from different countries. Five cases were infected in Switzerland.

To date, 23 suspected cases are under investigation in different cantons.

Switzerland: 16 new cases of influenza A/H1N1

BERNE - Sixteen new cases of influenza A/H1N1 was announced during the weekend in Switzerland, bringing to 92 the total number of infections in the country since the pandemic began in early April, according to figures released Monday by the Federal Office of Public Health.

Four cases involved the canton of Zurich and three cantons of Vaud and Valais. Most people infected abroad.
