Shop only with respirator mask?

Large distributors are preparing for pig flu: whoever goes shopping, despite a severe pandemic, could find themselves walking into stores through a "disinfection door".
Migros and Coop (supermarket chains) are making pandemic plans against the pig flu, in the autumn in Switzerland for up to two million people could become ill. For consumers, this means concretely: no more open sales.
"Vegetables and fruits must be wrapped if possible," said Coop spokeswoman Susanne Erd?s-Sugimoto.
This has consequences: "For logistical reasons, the variety (of fruits and vegetables) could be limited," says Migros spokesman Urs Peter Naef. Some Migros and Coop stores could close due to staff shortage. 'But it is clear that the "non-food shops" would close first', calms Sugimoto-Erd?s.
Should the shops remain open, Migros customers will have to do "Disinfection" before entering the store: "At the entrance there could be employees to pass on hand-disinfectants and possibly even a breathing mask," says Naef.
Coop is currently also considering such a measure. Denner could imagine doing the same: "If the Federal Office of Health requires us, we make it," says their spokeswoman Grazia Grassi.
