Swine Flu takes life of Kuwaiti girl

KUWAIT: As H1N1 virus (known as swine flu) may indicate a strong come back, sources told Al Watan that a Kuwaiti girl died last week at Mubarak Hospital by her infection with the virus, according to the report attached to her death certificate dated Nov. 6.

Swine flu was known to be a disease that is only fatal to people afflicted with chronicle diseases, however sources revealed that the deceased girl, who was 8 years old, basically suffering from kidney failure and was transferred to the intensive care after the rapid deterioration of her condition. In addition, four other patients were diagnosed with swine flu and were transferred to Mubarak Hospital for medical care in isolated rooms, with one transferred to the intensive care unit.

The Ministry of Health announced that the screening procedures of swine flu examination still exits and is applied on patients suffering from high temperature or flues. The reappearance of the virus should require the ministry to carefully scrutinize all its care centers and airport.
