A Gloucestershire school pupil has reportedly become the eleventh swine flu victim in the UK - as Britain's first infection passed from person to person is confirmed.
A letter to parents, apparently from the headteacher of Downend School, said a Year 7 child had contracted the virus.
It continued that the pupil was "at home and well" and all the relevant agencies had been informed.
The latest case followed an NHS clerical worker being confirmed as Britain's first case of swine flu passed from person to person, according to the Scottish Government.
