ST. JOHN?S, N.L. ? First an Olympic upset, and now a royal disappointment.

The Newfoundland children?s choir that was caught in a dispute over the 2010 Winter Games has cancelled its performance for Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Choral director Brenda Jeddore said the choir pulled out of Monday?s scheduled performance in St. John?s over concerns about swine flu.
The local school in the Mi?kmaq community at Conne River, N.L., was closed Thursday after several children showed flu-like symptoms.

The choir made national headlines over what it says was an invitation to perform at the Olympic opening ceremonies in Vancouver.
British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell called it a misunderstanding and invited the choir to perform during the Games, but it declined.
