Based on what they state, we should see a small spike in the number of seasonal flu cases, assuming they are accurate in the bolded statement.

In addition we are aware of about a dozen students who have been kept home or have been sent home due to feeling ill with flu-like symptoms. It is important to note that we have students who have the flu that has been confirmed to NOT be the H1N1 strain.![]()
We want our school community to know that we have specific guidelines from the state and county that we follow. Based on these guidelines, we follow a specific plan for addressing students who come to the office with flu-like symptoms ? we isolate them from the general student population, contact the parents and send them home! They are not returned to class. We encourage parents to take their student to their pediatrician or medical provider to be tested for the H1N1 virus but we are receiving reports that some do not test.
