Swine Flu Death Toll in India goes up to 98
New Delhi: The Swine Flu death toll in India, has reached 98 with the death of five more people yesterday. Two people each died in Karnataka and Pune, while one death reported from Ahmedabad. Out of the five casualties, two were pregnant women. Also, 218 fresh cases of Swine Flu were reported across India yesterday, taking the total number if infected cases to 3,614.
In Pune, 28-year-old pregnant woman Roopali Jore succumbed to A H1N1 virus. She was on a ventilator. Another man, 20-year-old Sunil Kumbhar died of Swine Flu at Sassoon Hospital to take the death toll in the city to 27.
Two more people died of Swine Flu in Karnataka. The latest casualties were a nine-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman. The girl died at Manipal Hospital in Bijapur, while the woman died at Bapuji Hospital in Davangere.
A 23-year-old pregnant woman Vaishali Kalal became the latest victim of Swine Flu in Ahmedabad. It was the eighth Swine Flu death in Gujarat.
