Swine flu claims two more lives in SD County

The swine flu pandemic has claimed two more lives in San Diego County, health officials announced today.
The latest victims are an 89-year-old woman and a 55-year-old woman, both of whom had underlying medical conditions, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency. The 55-year-old woman was not a resident of San Diego County.
So far, there have been 28 deaths of San Diego County residents linked to the H1N1 influenza and four deaths of non-residents, according to the HHSA.
There have been 492 people hospitalized with the virus locally.
County health officials again encouraged people to stay away from work or school if they have influenza-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
Those with underlying medical conditions experiencing influenza-like symptoms should contact their doctor, according to the HHSA.
