KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: Two swine flu cases were uncovered recently in Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Amiri hospitals, raising fears of possible recurrence of the swine flu scare in the country, reports Al-Dar daily quoting sources from the health sector.

Sources said one of the patients found to be infected with the virus is a pregnant GCC woman, who gave birth through Caesarian operation to protect the baby from the virus. Sources revealed the woman is said to be in a critical condition.

Sources asked the Ministry of Health to take all the necessary precautionary measures, particularly since the new academic year is fast approaching. They also stressed the need to coordinate with other GCC countries in this regard to protect the public, considering many people are currently out of Kuwait.
