Ytterligare en död i svininfluensan

Ytterligare en sörmlänning har dött i svininfluensan. Det är en 96-årig kvinna och i och med sin ålder tillhörde hon en riskgrupp.

Hon insjuknade tidigare i veckan och togs, enligt smittskyddsläkare Carl-Gustaf Sundin, in på infektionskliniken på Mälarsjukhuset i Eskilstuna, där hon sedan avled.

Han bekräftar också att kvinnan var smittad av svininfluensa. Totalt har nu 16 personer bekräftats döda i svininfluensan i Sverige, två av dem i Sörmland.


Another flu death

Another sörmlänning have died of flu. There is a 96-year-old woman and with her age, she belonged to a division.

She fell ill earlier this week and was, according to County Medical Officer Carl-Gustaf Sundin, into the Department of Infectious Disease at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, where she then died.

He also confirmed that the woman was infected with swine flu. Total is now 16 people confirmed dead in flu in Sweden, two of them in Sörmland.
