A Sussex County teenager was diagnosed last week with the H1N1 virus, possibly the first positive test of 2014.

Reached at his office on Monday, Herb Yardley, Sussex County Division of Environmental and Public Health Services administrator, couldn?t confirm if this was the first case of H1N1 this year in the county or provide the number of cases of H1N1 in Sussex County over the last five years, but did say because the vaccine is now included in the regular influenza vaccine, H1N1 isn?t as prevalent or as big a concern as it once was.

?When it (H1N1) hit in 2009, there wasn?t a readily available vaccine,? Yardley said, ?now there is.?
